Modernizing the workplace

Posted by Paula Turnquist

As millennials continue to take over the workforce- a projected 75% by 2025 according to the Governance Studies at Brookings—benefit programs must adjust with them. Here are a few ways to attract and keep this new talent.

Technology is your friend
. Millennials are concerned with connection and convenience, so use technology to motivate your employees with a range of features, such as competitive walking challenges, an activity tracker or fitness coaching through video conferencing. You can also integrate and maintain incentive programs this way to promote a healthy lifestyle in the workplace- like rewards for reaching a certain goal weight or cholesterol. A mixture of financial rewards and an overall healthy working environment shows potential employees you care about their wellbeing.

To choose is the best choice. Everyone wants choices, not just millennials, and it would benefit all employees to be able to have more control over their benefits options. A single 22-year-old, for instance, might opt for a plan geared towards student loan repayment and identity theft protection, versus a 40-year-old with dependents who would rather have accident and critical illness insurance.

Let us show you how you can save 15-30% on your company's total medical costs.

Reciprocate support. Simply put, any employee wants to feel like they are getting as much as they give. The way employers can facilitate this need is by offering flexibility in work schedules and benefits, a culture of healthy living, and a variety of tech driven solutions.
