Children's healthcare faces uncertain future

Posted by Julio Iturriaga

While the overall future of U.S. healthcare is unclear, advocates of child healthcare are especially wary.

A recent study by the Children’s Health Fund found that a quarter of American children under 18 lack access to important healthcare including vaccinations, annual physicals, mental healthcare, and dental care under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Let us show you how you can save 15-30% on your company's total medical costs.

On top of the over three million children uninsured in the country, the biggest issues the new administration will have to address is plan costs and transportation issues for insured families.
Higher deductibles and co-pays are difficult to pay for out of pocket for lower income families, and expenses are almost impossible for uninsured families. Those who can afford it have trouble finding a doctor to accept their insurance, and have to travel long distances just to see a doctor dependent on accessible transportation and their location.

There’s a lot to fix, but proposed replacements to the plan not only fail to address these issues, but could threaten families already covered.
